Text: Exodus 33:12-19 – “And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest”
The Greatest Asset in life is The Presence of God. Our above text is an account of God guaranteeing Moses that His Presence will go before the Israelites in the journey ahead of them. This is our desire as well as we go into the second half of 2019. May God be gracious and show us great mercy in Jesus Name. Anywhere you go without the presence of God is an accident waiting to happen. May The Lord be with us all through the remaining half of this year and forever.
From our above Text Moses was saddled with the herculean task of delivering God’s people from a 430 Year bondage and leading them into the Promise Land;
he knew without The Presence of God doom would befall them.
Our qualifications, possessions, etc are worthiness without The Presence of God in our quest to enter into our
Canaan Land.
The Presence of God guaranteed the Israelites Divine Health, Victory, Safety, and Provisions all through their 40 years in the wilderness. They became a terror to all their enemies because of The Guaranteed Presence of God. Never leave your house without The Presence of God, because that is your guaranteed from every storm of life. We are not immune from the evil of life, but His Presence is what guarantees us victory in all circumstances. The presence of God averts many evil from happening in your environment.
Psalm 23:1 says The Lord is our Shepherd we shall not want. Psalm 16:11 also tells us that in His Presence is the fullness of Joy. John 11 – The Presence of The Lord made the difference as He raised Lazarus from the dead after 4 days. Acts 12:3-9, Peter was at rest though a death sentence had been passed on him for the next day, but because he carries The Presence of a The Lord, Help came supernaturally to rescue him. Acts 16:25 – The Presence of God also rescued Paul and Silas from the prison.
7 Benefits of Carrying The Presence of God
1. Favor becomes your portion. Men will be longing to favor and help you. Isaiah 45:1, Gen. 39:12
2. The Glory of God will cover your nakedness. God will give you the treasures of darkness. Isaiah 45:3
3. Victory is guaranteed in all areas of life. Isaiah 45:1-2, Romans 8:31
4. The Miraculous is guaranteed. Luke 10:17-20
5. All tokens of liars are dislodged; all evil gatherings against you shall be broken in pieces. Isaiah 8:9-10,
6. All weaknesses are turned into strength. Neh. 8:10, 2 Cor. 12:8-10
7. Everything about you ends very well. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
What Guarantees The Presence of God
1. Living a Holy Life. Psalm 15:1-2
2. An effectual fervent Prayer life. Matt. 17:21, Ps. 37:5, James 5:16
3. Absolute dependence on The Word of God. John 1:1, Psalm 119:103-106
4. Be a God Chaser. Seek and go after God. Psalm 27:4
5. Praise and Worship God everywhere you go. 2 Chron. 20, Ps. 69:5-7
In conclusion, in this second half of 2019, look unto Jesus, The Author and Finisher of Your Faith in all your ways – Hebrews 12:2.
