Text: Job:12:1-10.
“1 Then Job answered and said: 2 “No doubt you are the people, and wisdom will die with you! 3 But I have an understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Indeed, who does not know such things as these? 4 “I am one mocked by his friends, Who called on God, and He answered him, The just and blameless who is ridiculed. 5 A lamp is despised in the thought of one who is at ease; It is made ready for those whose feet slip. 6 The tents of robbers prosper, and those who provoke God are secure— In what God provides by His hand. 7 “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you, and the birds of the air and they will tell you; 8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, and the fish of the sea will explain to you. 9 Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, 10 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?”
We belong to The Lord, our Souls are in His Hands, He even controls our breath. Job was facing some challenges or trials of faith but he rested in the fact that he was in God’s Hands. As believers, nothing comes our way without God’s knowledge. Only God can take the breath of any man – not any virus or devil. Rev. 4:11 says Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure, they are and were created. Job 19:25-26 says “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.
Paul said in 2 Tim. 1:12 says – For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Our Redeemer lives and is also in charge; more than able to keep us through trying times. God always takes good care of us. We have come to give thanks to Him as our monthly custom. In Acts 16:25-26, Paul and Silas were in prison yet they turned around the situation by offering praises to God. As we praise Him, God will always open a door of escape and promotion. This Pandemic of COVID-19 has the agenda to destroy but as believers in Christ Jesus, God has exempted us from its agenda. Psalm 66:2-3 says Sing forth the honor of his name: make his praise glorious. Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
2 Chron. 20:21-23 says – And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever. And when they began to sing and to praise, The Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
