The Glory Of This Latter Day – The Perfecter of This Glory

The Glory Of This Latter Day – The Perfecter of This Glory

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Haggai 2:6-9.

For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

There are levels of Glory in life (1 Cor. 15:40-41). Our above Text is an account of the dedication of the Second Temple in Israel. After The Temple built by Solomon was destroyed, The Second Temple was built and Israel was rejoicing for God giving them the opportunity to build Another Temple. God said The Glory of The Latter shall be greater than the former. Your original destiny is the destiny God wants you to live. Many are a shadow of what God intends to perform in their lives. When Israel cried to The Lord, God spoke that He would shake the heavens and the earth and the desire of all nations shall come and He will fill The Temple with His Glory.

It is The Glory of God in a Temple that differentiates it from every other mundane building in a city. God is The Restorer of Glory. May God fill Your Life with His Glory, because you are His Temple in Christ Jesus. Only God can decorate His Temple with His riches (silver, gold, etc).

Your present location is irrelevant when The Glory of God comes afresh upon your life. His Glory fished Joseph out of the prison into the Palace.

No matter how messed up life is, God can turn that mess into a message to His Glory. May God shake out of your life whatever He has not planted. There will be a restoration of God’s original plans for your life in Jesus’ Name. Joel 2:25

Those Who will Experience His Glory

1.     Those who are Patient and Obedient. Wait for The Glory, it is coming. Acts 2, Luke 24:49, Isa. 1:19

2.     Those who are Hopeful. – Hannah in I Samuel 1 & 2, 1 Pet. 1:3-4

3.     Those who live a Spirit-filled Life. – Eph. 5:18

4.     Those who have a pure heart and clean hands – Ps. 24:4-5

5.     His Worshippers – John 4:23-24, 2 Chron. 5:13-14

In closing, this is the period of Thanksgiving and God has promised us to show forth The Glory of This Latter-Day surpassing the Glory of the former. It is not of our powers or strength that we have been sustained. We have enjoyed grace and mercy so we need to come back to give thanks to Him. It is Christ in You, that He is The Hope of Glory. John 7:37-38 – “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

God Bless You!
