Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.
Text: 1 Cor. 15:39-41.
“ 39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.”
In life, we carry Glory in levels. From last week’s Sermon, God said the Glory of the Latter House shall be greater than the former. This suggests God desires His children to move from one level of His Glory to Another level. No matter the testimonies and successes of yesterday, God is saying what He still wants to do is far greater than what you have experienced. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us – Romans 8:18.
From our above Text, “There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.” The moon has no Glory (light) of its own, what radiates through it is a reflection of its position to the Sun. We have no Glory of our own but by virtue of our positioning and continuous alignment with The Lord, we move from Glory to Glory. His Glory makes the world to see in our lives what eyes have not seen and ears heard. Job. 8:7 – Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. 2 Cor. 3:18 – But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of The Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by The Spirit of The Lord.
What is The Glory of The Latter Day?
1. It is The Glory that puts you ahead of those who have gone ahead of you. Luke 5:4-6
2. It is a Glory that makes everyone to come and rejoice with you. Gen. 21:16
3. It is The Glory that shatters barrenness, Sickness, Poverty, and all manners of evil.
What Must You Do to Provoke This Glory?
1. Realize that you need This Glory of The Latter Day – 1 Sam. 1:24
2. Be dissatisfied with your current state.
3. Make sure that God is with you.
4. Resist all the odds (e.g. doubts) that might oppose your experiencing His Glory.
5. Make sure you work hard to enter into This Glory.
6. Deal with any fear that will not allow you to forge ahead
7. Pray and seek The Face of The Lord
In conclusion, Eccl. 7:8 “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”
God Bless You!
