The God that Remembers.

The God that Remembers.

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: 1 Sam. 1:15-20.

15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. 16 Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. 17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. 18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way and did eat, and her countenance was no sadder. 19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. 20 Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.

We serve The Lord that remembers and never abandons His Own. God has more than enough power to fulfill anything He has promised. His Word never returns back to Him void. Joshua 6:1-5 God brought down Jericho in order to fulfill His Promise.

No bondage or obstacle can stop our God. Every barrier crumbles before our God.

Heb. 10:23 says “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

The Promises of God are Yea and Amen. He never fails in His Promises. In Gen. 15:13-15, He reassured Abraham of His goal to fulfill His Promises. God not only remembers to fulfill His promises but also judges everyone that afflicts you. God in addition to delivering Israel also judged the Egyptians that kept them in bondage. God delivers His people so that they may serve Him. He will stop at nothing to deliver His Own from every oppression of the enemy.

From our above Text, God remembered Hannah and turned her mockery into an enviable miracle. God remembers His Own by beautifying them to the shame of the enemy. Hannah not only had Samuel, God also blessed her with additional 6 children.

To be remembered, discuss your issues less with men, commune more in Prayers with God The Promiser. Vain is the help of man, every man has limits only God is unlimited and Omnipotent! Hannah changed her focus to God and God remembered her and all her reproaches vanished. God is The Only One Who can truly release anyone locked-down by the enemy. All through The Bible, we see God remembering His Own for good. Noah in Genesis 8:1, Paul and Silas in Acts 16:24-40.

What Does It Mean for God to Remember a Man?

1.     God is not a man that He should lie.  Num. 23:19

2.     All reproaches vanish and a New Song is given. Case study of Sarah & Hannah. 1 Sam. 2:1-5

3.     Every blockage ceases when God remembers you. Hannah had 6 more children.

4.     All long-awaited promises begin to receive answers without delay.

5.    Your situation becomes a priority for God. When the Israelites cried to God, their deliverance became a priority before God. Exod. 2:24-25

6.     All that is around you will also become Blessed. The other prisoners were released along with Paul and Silas in Acts 16. Also, Lot was blessed when he followed Abraham.

What to Do to be Remembered by God

1.     Be dissatisfied with your current position

2.     Seek The Presence of God in Prayers & Fasting

3.     Stand upon The Premise of The Word of God

In closing, Psalm 106:4 – Remember me, O Lord, with the favor that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation.

God Bless You!
