Text: Exodus 3:1-10.
“ 1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. 7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.”
God is a Restorer of Grace and Dreams. May His Vision over your life not die in Jesus’ Name. God is faithful and has enough power to bring you to your place of attainment. God also remembers His Own and Faithful to deliver them from every oppression of the enemy.
All through The Bible, we see that God has enough power to not only deliver but also restore every lost year, virtue, effort, joy, dry bones, and dreams. Joel 2:25-32, Psalm 51:12. Moses was born to be a vessel of deliverance and restoration of the people of God; but unfortunately, it appears the dream would be unfulfilled until God appeared to him supernaturally (Exod. 3) and his journey of vision restoration had begun. It takes a genuine encounter with God for the restoration of your dreams.
Those years Moses spent in exile were in reality training and learning curves for his growth and maturity. We should not see lost years as wasted, with the right attitude we should see them as training and development periods as God is able to make all things work together for your good. Everyone that would be great in The Kingdom of God will go through training periods. We all have different seasons in God’s agenda for our lives. I counsel you to wait for that vision to be fulfilled, do not run ahead of God, though it tarries, wait for it. Eccel. 3:1, Hab. 2:3.
The periods of waiting are often used to train us to be patient and humble. In reality, they are not wasted periods but developmental periods for our maturity for the task ahead. Moses learned lots of skills in exile he may not have learned in Pharaoh’s Palace.
Whatever experience you are passing through, God can fashion it for your good. You just be faithful to whatever God has given to you.
Never give up on whatever God has promised you, He is not bound by time.
He created The Heavens and The Earth in 6 days; He brought abundance to the City of Samaria within 24 hours through 4 lepers. God can use anyone to bring His Word to the past in your life, just keep your eyes on Him.
God not only restores lost things, He is also a Doer of New Things. He said in Isaiah 43:18-19 – “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.
In closing, Isaiah 14:24 – The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, “Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand.”
God Bless You!
