Repositioned By Beholding The Lord.

Repositioned By Beholding The Lord.

Ministering: Assistant Pastor Wole Olubajo.

Text: 2 Cor. 3:18.

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror The Glory of The Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by The Spirit of The Lord.”

Our calling as Christians is to come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Everything about our Total Salvation hinges on Christ. We are redeemed, sanctified, and transformed by Him. Continual progress in life is His desire for us. That our path should be like the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Repositioning means a change of level or a rise to greater heights. Newton’s first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force.

Nothing changes our position in life like “increased Knowledge”(a student becomes a professor through increased knowledge in a set field).

As it is in the physical so it is in the spiritual – we change levels in life by growing in the knowledge of Christ – 2 Pet. 3:18.

Repositioning is a function of our level of Beholding The Lord. To Behold means to look intensely; to set your gaze continually on an Object; or to fix your thoughts on Someone. Heb. 3:1; 12:2 Faith does not work in isolation, it must have something or Someone it is relying on. Christ is God’s ordained focus for our Faith. Heb. 12:2. Yes, we walk by Faith and not by sight but truthfully Faith works by sight only that this sight is one of a greater kind – a sight on Christ and not the problem. (2 Cor. 5:7, 4:18).

As We Behold The Lord

1.     We are delivered from the “serpents” of life. – Num. 21:8-9, John 3:14.

2.     We are lightened by Him and will never be put to shame. – Ps. 34:5.

3.     We “walk on waters” (do what is humanly impossible). – Matt. 14:30.

4.     We are transformed from Glory to Glory. – 2 Cor. 3:18.

5.      We allow The Lord to be rich towards us. – Rom.10:12.

It is an unexplainable mystery how we are repositioned or transformed from Glory to Glory by simply “Beholding The Lord”. This is why Satan uses all his might to hinder us from Beholding Christ, hence, we must be determined to fight the good fight of Faith by bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Cor. 4:3-5

In closing, God said in Isaiah 45:22 – “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”

God Bless You!
