Text: Jer. 1:4-5.
” 4 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.“
Our above Text lets us know that before our birth God selected and marked us for a specific destiny. Every child of God is a child of Destiny. A Child of destiny is one that has purposed to fulfill God’s calling. The enemy cannot destroy a child who seeks to fulfill God’s destiny. To be alive in Christ Jesus is proof you are a child of Destiny.
Jer. 29:11 talks about God’s good thoughts towards His children. Because Moses was a child of destiny, the enemy could not succeed to kill him. God’s plan for you supersedes any earthy thing. Who is it that says a thing and it comes to pass when The Lord has not commanded it. You are created for a Divine Purpose.
Our Lord’s Jesus’s destiny was foretold from Isaiah 9:6 – For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, God knew you and ordained you for a specific purpose on earth. A Child of Destiny is confident that God has a good plan for them.
We must find out how to fulfill this glorious destiny in Christ Jesus. Knowing that you have a glorious destiny is not sufficient; you must work towards fulfilling that destiny. No lazy man fulfills; hard work with a relationship with God is a requirement for destiny fulfillment.
As a child of Destiny recognize you are fearful and wonderfully made. Redemption in Christ Jesus makes you a child of destiny. You must accept Christ as your Lord and Savior and walk in His counsels in order to fulfill your destiny.
We all have a part to play if we must see our Destiny fulfilled. Moses, Jeremiah, and Jesus are Biblical examples of those who fulfilled their destinies.
