Text: Amos 9:11-15.
” 11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the trader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. 14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.“
The above Text is God’s Agenda for our lives this Season. God is a God of Purpose; all He does is for a purpose. He has told us it’s a season for a New Beginning for us in RCCG.
His first agenda for us this season is to rebuild whatever the enemy has destroyed. God wants to rebuild every one of us so we can have a new beginning. Often times, a malfunctioning car has its engine rebuilt for better performance. How does God rebuild us? He raises us the Tabernacle of David by fixing every past mistake in our lives.
A New Beginning means it is Harvest time. Before a New Beginning, you must be willing and obedient. Deut. 28:1-2.
To have a New Beginning:
A. Sit down and take the stock of your life.
- The 4 lepers in 2 Kings 7:3
B. Get rid of any fear.
- What you are afraid of is afraid of you.
- Is my life making any meaning? Am I fulfilling the mandate of God?
- Many destinies are tied to your fulfilling God’s Purpose
C. Be tired of your current result or accomplishments.
- Saul was tired of looking for the lost donkeys in 1 Sam. 9
- The prodigal son got tired of his foolishness and returned to His Father – Luke 15:11-21
D. There must be a circumcision of the heart
- A New Beginning demands a New Heart – Jos. 5:2-3; 4:4
- God does not pour New Wine in Old wineskin
E. Begin a Fresh Start.
God Bless You!
