Text: Gen. 26:12-14.
” 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.“
An unending growth is a growth that starts and never come to an end. God has a program of growth & expansion for all His Children. Our current habitation is small, and God’s goal is to expand you. There is a growth program no enemy can derail.
From our above Text, there was a particular land Isaac sowed. God can cause you to grow and expand anywhere you are. Wherever you are, God has a program of growth for you. Though there was famine in the land, God saw to it that Isaac prospered in the land. Despite the adverse condition, nothing could hold Isaac down. Our heritage in Christ is ending progress wherever we are even if others are experiencing a casting down.
Isaac’s seed brought forth because God had blessed him. The antidote to lack and struggle is for The Hand of God to come upon on you. Because of The Hand of God, there is a Grace, Favor and Speed that comes on whatever you are doing as a Covenant child of God. Ensure you are not engaged with anything God’s Hand is not upon.
Planning without God is planning to fail without knowing. It is not our qualification or ability per se that bring unending growth, but The Mighty Hand of God upon us. It is the Blessing of God that makes rich without any sorrow.
God created you with a growth agenda. He said …”Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth ……..”. Growth is planted into every human. Isaiah says a little one shall become a thousand. Growth is God increasing your capacity so you can become what He wants. Growth is an antidote to stagnation.
A Growth mindset says you can become whatever God says you can become. A Growth mindset sees any failure as a launching pad to the next level. Peter toiled all night catching nothing, but with a Growth mindset, he said, nevertheless, at Your Word ……. And he caught a net-breaking miracle.
A Growth mindset is ever ready to tap virtue from anyone (regardless of age, race, etc.). A Growth mindset is open to learning from anyone and anything. Anyone with a growth mindset sees a lesson to learn from in everything, every situation and every person.
The life of a man is like a container or vessel – the size determines what that vessel can carry. God’s goal is to enlarge us first in our mind, hence we need a “Growth Mindset”.
Deut. 1:10-11 – The Lord your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude. (The Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!).
Jabez prayed for Growth and God honored his request. 1 Chron. 4:9-10 – “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
