Ministering: Pastor (Mrs.) Grace Okonrende (Continental Regional Evangelist).
Text: Psalm 107:13-15.
” 13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. 15 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!“
We are here today to Praise The Lord over our Mummy Pastor. God has been Good and Faithful. We never should forget the goodness of God, His Kindness, Favor and Mercy. This is why the Psalmist in our above Text sighed – Then they cried out to The Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Praising God is not a cheap job, its takes a special grace to truthfully praise Him from the depth of our hearts.
Psalm 90:12 – So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Who is this Wisdom? This Wisdom is The Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 1:24). Jesus Christ is The Wisdom of God. We apply our paths unto Wisdom by accepting The Lord Jesus Christ. We live in a very wicked world, and only Christ is our exemption from every wickedness of wicked. He is not only the Wisdom of God but also the Power of God.
Wisdom is the application of knowledge. Wisdom (Who is The Lord) will take you far in life. Prov. 4:7-8 – Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
Wisdom will lift you up above your counterparts and make you seat with Christ in Heavenly Places which far above principalities and powers. Eph. 2:5-6, 1:20-21, 6:12 – which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
In closing, Ezekiel 36:26 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
God Bless You!
