Text: Joshua 13:1-6.
“ 1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. 2 This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri, 3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites: 4 From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites: 5 And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sun rising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath. 6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.“
Failure should never be an option to you as a Child of God. To an achiever there is no excuse good enough for failure. Despite all the great feat of Joshua, God still lamented that there was still so much land yet to be possessed. Are you behind on your goals, rejoice for God is a Great Restorer of time and all that may have been lost or wasted. Joel 2.
Isa. 55:10-11 makes us understand none of God’s Word goes back to Him void, It always performs His Counsel. We are like a Seed that God is intending to bring forth a certain fruit that blesses humanity. This is why failure should not an option for you as a Branch of Christ.
A Goal simply means bringing the right result at the end of a project. Meeting expectation is to be as good as somebody predicted. Heaven has an expectation for every one of us every Year. 3 John 2 tells us one of God’s expectation is that ….. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” We are to prosper in everything according to God’s Agenda.
God’s Word always performs, failure is not an option to It. Joshua 21:45 – Not a Word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
Lack of insight is reason for many people’s failure. Christ is in you to give you the needed insight at every crossroad. You can do all things through Christ Who strengthens You. We achieve goals not by our power nor by might but by The Spirit of The Lord.
As a Believer in Christ Jesus, there is a Big God behind you to back and assist you in life. It’s because God is with and for you, that failure is not an option. God never fails in any endeavor because all things bow to Him. Though Moses was gone, Joshua had no excuse to fail because The God that helped Moses to succeed iss still alive to help him succeed as well. We succeed not necessarily because of who we are or what we have but because of Who God is. For by flesh shall no man prevail.
Gideon thought his small stature was an excuse to fail, but God proved His Mightiness by making him succeed. The horse may be prepared for battle, but victory is of The Lord. The God inside of you will always make a way for you in any situation you are going through. Only God can make a way in any Red Sea – trust Him to fulfill His Word in your life.
The Seed of Dominion and an Overcomer is already in you because you are born of God. This is why you are bound to succeed because you are a Seed of Abraham. For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world, for this is the victory, even our faith. Never forget that failure is not an option because you are Born of God.
Failure is also not an option because you have access to The Blood of Jesus Christ. Rev. 12:11 – And they overcame him by The blood of The Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Ingredients of Success:
- Realize that regardless of any obstacle on your way, Success is already locked inside of You. Gen. 1:28.
- Be diligent and consistent in whatever God has placed in your hands – Eccl. 9:10.
- Invest quality time, resources, and Prayers in all committed to you – Col. 3:23, Gal. 6:9.
- Be productively engaged and focused in your pursuit. Eccl. 10:18.
- Obedience to The Word and instructions of God. Deut. 28.
- Let The Word of God overrule your situation & circumstance. Luke 5.
- Let your Love be fervent to defend the course & work of God.
- Give Praise and constantly Worship God. Ps. 67:5-7; 149:5-6.
- Be ever grateful for everything God has given to You.
- Have passion for Souls. Be a medium to bring others to Christ. John 5:35-37.
- Carelessness – Adam was careless in the Garden. Prov. 1:32.
- Disobedience to His Word – 1 Sam. 15.
- Do not disconnect from The Word – Joshua 1:5-9, Heb. 4:12.
- Do not settle for less. Num. 32:1-5.
- Do not disconnect from Prayers. Matt. 17:21.
