Ministering: Pastor Peter Olawale (SATGO, RCCG – Directorate of Prayer).
Text: Isaiah 61:7.
“7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion, they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” KJV.
What is Glory? According to Gen. 45:1 (Joseph as Prime Minister in Egypt), Glory can be said to be that which secures praise from people; it is that which cannot be hidden. Glory is also a state of great exaltation; where you are lifted to a place of honor. Glory is also a height of certain achievement and prosperity, especially in a Foreign Land. Glory is to shine like a star in the midst of darkness. Glory is the level of great beauty and splendor in appearance. Exod. 28:2.
Psalm 24:7 paints a picture of how gates have to be lifted for The King of Glory to come in. Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up your everlasting doors! And The King of Glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord is strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Despite what you may be passing through as a Child of God, God is saying there is Glory Ahead. In Luke 5:2-7, despite toiling all night and catching nothing, Peter became an employer of labor when The King of Glory stepped into His Boat and he hearkened to His Instruction to launch out into the deep.
From Gen. 26:12-16, 26-28 we can see how The King of Glory came through for Isaac by giving him a divine idea, and he became very great in a foreign land to the point of envy from the inhabitants of the land. It is a shameful thing not to get a job, but it is a double honor and glory to buy the company you once applied for a Job. The King of Glory can fast-forward and accelerate your path in life. It is a shameful situation when the capital of a project is not available. It is Double Honor for that Capital to be supernaturally provided. Isa. 55:10, Matt. 13:8. It is a shameful thing when your efforts are not recognized, but it is a double honor when God moves to promote, fast-forward and reward your efforts and labors. As Sons of God, we are not to labor in vain because we are blessed by The Lord. Isa. 65:23.
It is a shameful thing when one is expected to be married, but it is a double honor for that single person to now be happily married and settled in their home. Isa. 54:13. It is a shameful thing to be sick, but it is a double honor to be healed and made whole.
How Does God Replace Shame with Glory?
The Almighty does not carry Glory, He is Glory Himself. He does not carry fire, He is the Consuming Fire, Himself. The opposite of Glory is a shame. There is a repositioning of Man in order to experience The Glory of God. An encounter with God is an encounter with His Glory and all that He is. The absence of God results in nakedness. The destiny of every Fish is attached to Water, separate the fish from the water, and the fish will be no more. Our destiny as Humans is attached to God, separate a human from God, and that destiny is gone!
God Bless You!
