Text: Psalm 150:1-6.
” 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” KJV.
Praise is a mandate and commandment from God for all that have breath. Regardless of your situation, praise can turn it around for good. Ps. 34:1-3 enjoins us to praise the Lord at all times. O magnify the Lord with me and let us praise His name together. We praise God to show our appreciation for all He has being doing in our lives. Gratefulness attracts the presence of God as He dwells in the praises of His People (Ps. 22:3).
God deserves our praise above all earthly Monarchs. Praise is an invitation for God’s Power, Glory and Fullness. Zep. 3:17 – The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His Love, He will joy over thee with singing. God didn’t tie our praise of Him to possession of things; rather He said “In everything, give thanks for this is His will for us in Christ Jesus”.
Praise is a technology of giving God a soft landing into your situation, like He did for Jehoshaphat – (2 Chron. 20). The power of God always manifests anywhere genuine praise is offered. Praise is weapon that will liberate any captive. A case study is Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25. There is no weapon like praise. It delivers not only the captive but even a whole nation is rescued by it. Never look at praise as an optional mundane exercise, it is the most potent weaponry in opening in the Heaven.
Praise will bring clarity in the midst of confusion. Praise is an impossibility specialist; at the grave of Lazarus, Jesus offered thanks to God and he that was dead jacked back to life. This means nothing is too late for praise to turnaround. Praise does not respect any barrier; it crushes every opposition without sweat. This is why Satan always tries to afflict people with the spirit of complaining or ingratitude. For every request you think God is yet to do, there are a million things He has done even without your asking. This is why we are indebted to praising Him.
Praise will make what is insufficient to be more than enough. Praise is what the Lord used to multiply the 5 loaves and 2 fish into what fed over 5,000 people. No matter that need, God will always leave you with a remnant to use in praising Him. The 5 Loaves and 2 Fish were the seed Jesus used to give God thanks. Don’t fall into the trap of disdaining what is in your hands – it’s the road to your multiplication.
How to Attract God into Your Situation
- Offer Praise continually as it refreshes Him – Ps. 100
- Do not doubt Him – James 1:6-7
- Do not be proud. Ingratitude is to be filled with Pride. Remember, You are what you are by His Grace.
God Bless You!
