Text: Matt. 25:35-41.
” 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.“ KJV
The Lord mentioned that our eternity will be determined by our open-heartedness or generosity to the needy. As christians, we cannot be so spiritual on Earth and eternally useless through negligence in our social responsibilities. We are living epistles of Christ in our communities, our impact should be felt both spiritually and materially. The church is saddled with the task of extending a help hand to the Police, Fire, School, etc.
Our physical health is important in our service to God. Our spirit and soul needs a healthy body to function optimally. Many have died through carelessness in handling their health. Keeping a healthy routine is crucial to our longevity. 3 John 4 – Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
God has a responsibility to keep us healthy because He has sent us all on separate assignments, however, we have a responsibility or role to place in living healthy.

Our body belongs to God, He purchased it with a price. 1 Cor. 6:19-20 – Or do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
