Text: Revelation 19:3-6.
“3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen: Alleluia. 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.“ KJV
Hallelujah means “Praise YHWH” (Yahweh is the personal name of God). Hallelujah is a declaration that God needs to be Praised, Honored for His Majesty and Almightiness in all ramifications. We praise Him for our daily provision, protection and sustenance. Our above text is snapshot of a live stream of Heaven – the praises of our God for His righteous victory and judgment over His enemies. Psalm 103 – Know Ye that He is God, it is He that has made us, not ourselves, we are His people, enter into His gates with thanksgiving. Man in his selfish nature will always find a reason to rob God of His praise.
Isaiah 53 says we all have gone astray. Many times, we are consumed with the negatives or things God is yet to do while forgetting all the innumerable things He has done and still doing. As His priests, we make it a daily habit to join the twenty-fours to sing Hallelujah to God. Rev. 4:10-11 says the four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
