Text: Daniel 2:21 .
“ 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:“ KJV
God is a story changer. He can turn the past around and make it glorious for your future. God changes the worst stories to the best stories. He can turn terrible situations to life-transforming situations. In Zech. 3: 3-5, God changed the story and ministry of Joshua (the High Priest). He changed his filthy garments and replaced it with a new raiment – the garment of praise and honor. He also put a crown upon his head – symbolizing a “Royalty” status.
God is still in the business of repackaging and reorganizing lives. He reorganizes and repositions families, ministries, careers, etc. He can bring the best out of the worst. How He will do it is none of our business – He is The Sovereign God! There is no story too bad for God to change. No matter the mess, He can make a message out of it. He calls light out of darkness. Jeremiah 32:17 tells us there is nothing too hard for our God! If you believe this, it will work for you.
God specializes in impossibilities. Where man says it is impossible, God says, “bring it to me”. God always has a way when it appears there is no way. Luke 1:37 – For with God all things are possible. No matter your vision, plan or worthy desire, God is able to do more than you are thinking. He brings something out of nothing. He alone can bring water out of a rock. He can cause rivers in a desert. Whatever people are using to look down on you is the very thing God will use to elevate you before their very eyes.
In Jeremiah 32:27, God asked – “Behold I am the God of all Flesh, is there anything too hard for Me?” Many times, it is our unbelief that limits God’s intervention in our affairs. Never be afraid of any situation you are facing because God has allowed it because He plans to turn it to a testimony if you will but bring it to Him. Luke 21:13 – And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Even if the problem is caused by Satan, God can turn it to a testimony that Satan will acknowledge that had he known he wouldn’t have touched this child of glory. God has double restoration and honor for every shame suffered. This is why He alone is to be sought like no other.
Joseph experienced the worst situation – his brothers were the ones who sold him to slavery. He went through many shame but God turned the situation around and elevated him to the place of honor. The God of Joseph is still on the Throne to bring you out of every pit. It appeared Joseph’s dream will never come to pass, but God, Who specializes in Impossibility relocated him from the pit & prison to the palace. He moved him from worst to the best.
Jebez is another case study of God changing worse stories to honorable stories – 1 Chron. 4:9. The 3 Hebrew boys also experienced a change of story – God delivered them from a seemingly impossible situation. Daniel too experienced a change of story – he wasn’t consumed by the lions to the amazement of the King, who later bowed to Daniel’s God. Our Lord, Jesus Christ also experienced a change of story – despite all the agonies of His crucifixion, God changed His story and has elevated Him to the place of the highest glory. Philippians 2:9-11.
In closing, there is nothing too difficult to do. There is something unique God intends to bring out of that unpleasant situation you may be going through. God intends to promote and elevate you that your enemies will bow to you. For us to experience a change of story, we must partner with God in all we do. Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. Forsake your sins for His Isaiah 59:1-2.
God bless you!
