Ministering: IGA Drama Ministry – Annual Week
(Movie Presentation & Panelist Discussion)
Text: John 9:4.
” 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” KJV.
2 Cor. 5:18-19 – Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
God has given every believer the ministry of reconciling people to Him. We were saved to be a medium to save others. Our principal calling as Christians is the work of reconciliation – reconciling means turning people to God and His plans for their lives. In Isa. 58, God wants us to lose the chains of injustice in order to set the oppressed free. The work of the great commission is for all believers (old and young, rich or poor). Every one of us is to represent Christ by our lifestyle and witness of Him. We are redeemed as a living epistle to point people to God. God has given us this great mandate to reconcile the human race back to Him. We are His medium of bringing about a positive change to people’s lives, marriage, health, finances, etc.
People everywhere are going through problems, many of which are oppressions of the devil. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is God’s solution to all the issues of mankind. God is calling you and I to this great work of reconciling all men back to Him. Do not leave this work until it is too late.
Does this Work of Reconciliation involve any challenge?
John 16:33 – I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. In the process of carrying out this work, challenges will come (it is a must, not optional). The good news is that the Lord Jesus Christ has already overcome these challenges for Us – our part is to align with Him and fight the good fight of faith to lay hold of all He died for.
What kinds of challenges come with this work of reconciling people to God?
Doubt, dread, distraction, delay, drain (exhaustion), and discouragement. To overcome these challenges, Romans 12:2 tells us – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Be clear on your why, remain teachable and forgive quickly. Remember, God has not given you the spirit of fear but of love, power and of a sound mind.
In closing, there is great urgency concerning this work of reconciling people back to God. It is a work which You can no longer postpone – the King’s business demands haste. Remember, we are one day going to give an account for all the souls Heaven brought our way in our sojourn on Earth – whether our spouse, children, relatives, friends, workplace, Neighbors, etc.
As You witness and win Souls for The Kingdom, Heaven will attend to your matters. Matthew 6:33 says as we seek His Kingdom, all other things will be added to Us.
