Text: Revelation 4:8-11.
“8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” 9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: 11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” KJV.
2025 is our year of massive; we have come in this first Sunday to offer a “Massive Praise” to a “Massive God”. If it had not been God on our side we wouldn’t be alive today. We are in 2025 because God made us escape all the enemy’s onslaught in 2024.
All Hail Our King, All Hail Our Provider, All Hail Our Healer, All Hail Our Good Shepherd, All Hail Our All in All!
Our above text reveals the Eternal nature of our God. What He is in the past, He still is today and will be forever – for He alone is the Unchangeable One. He is the pillar that holds us from generation to generation. He sits on His Throne, irremovable and unthreatenable by any force or power. He is The Thrice Holy One, The Awesome God whose name is worthy to be praised in all creation. We stand in awe of Him, mighty are His miracles.
He has been our rock and wall of fire ever protecting and shielding us from all the arrows of the enemy. He deserves the Glory and the Honor for His mercy are new every morning towards us. We are forever indebted to eulogizing Him for He does what no one can do and says what no one dares say!
We cast our crowns before His Throne and join the 24 Elders to say to our worthy Sovereign Lord – “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
He not only created all things but also sustains all things. Nothing exists without His providence. He is a Sovereign Being, whose authority cannot be challenged. He kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave, and brings up; He makes poor, and makes rich; He lifts and can also reduce to nothing! 1 Sam. 2:6-7. He alone can do as He wish, and no one dares question Him! We are here this morning to give thanks to Him like the one Leper that came back to appreciate Him for His unspeakable mercy – Luke 17:11-17.
In closing, we join the Psalmist in saying – “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 89:1.
God Bless You!
