Cry for Destiny Restoration.

Cry for Destiny Restoration.

Ministering: Pastor Alaba Olanipekun.

Text: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.

And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.KJV.

A Cry for destiny restoration is a call upon God to realign your life to His original plan for your life. It is knowing that there is more Heaven can accomplish through your life. It is being hungry for more of God.

What is destiny? Destiny is your future that has been planned by God; it is full of glorious achievements. Destiny is God’s original intention for our lives. Jeremiah1:5 – Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. There is no man or woman without a destiny from God. Destiny is also the preordained path for you to follow in life.

Destiny is God’s picture of an individual’s future. Abraham in Genesis 12:1. Destiny is the delivery of an architectural plan God already drew in eternity past concerning your life. Not many people have gotten the delivery of God’s plan for their lives. Israel’s destiny was getting into the promise land, unfortunately not all of them entered Canal land.

Destiny Changers

  • An individual himself or herself can alter a change of their destiny. Romans 8:31, 6:16
  • The Enemy. Gen. 2:16-17, Romans 5:12, 6:23
  • The Lord Jesus Christ
    • He is the greatest changer of destiny
    • When He shuts, no one can open and when He opens no one can shut.
    • He is The One that has the final say in any man’s destiny
  • He is ever inviting us to turn to Him.
  • He is ever knocking at the door of our heart.
  • Zephaniah 3:19-20

Mediums God Uses to Restore Destiny

  • Consecration
  • Realize you are God’s building & temple – 1 Cor. 3:9, 6:19
    • As a redeemed of the Lord, God lives within you
    • Purge yourself to be a vessel of honor for the Master – 2 Timothy 2:19-21
    • Consecration is the foundation of your walk with God. Psalm 11:3
  • The Word of God
  • Make His word a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path – Psalm 119:105
    • It is only His light that darkness cannot comprehend
    • Your prayers are as effective as it is rooted in the word of God
    • God will never go against His word
  • Prayer
    • This is what Jabez used to restore His destiny
    • Prayer is the medium we use to communicate with our Maker
    • Prayer is the language of the helpless
    • Prayer is the platform for empowerment. Matthew 21:23.
    • We were redeemed as a “House of Prayer”
  • Witnessing
    • He chose us to go and bear fruit. John 15:16
    • Soul winning is the heart of God
    • Soul winners are stars before God. Daniel 12:3
    • God answers prayers of soul winners
    • He that wins souls is wise. Prov. 11:30

In closing, to “change” means to “alter” or to “modify” to make or function better. Change also means transformation. Romans 12:2 – “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” The destination of sin is death. Romans 6:23. The destination of the righteous is “it shall be Well with them.” Isaiah 3:10.

 God Bless You!
