October 2025 | The Season for Unusual Speed
Ministering: Assistant Pastor Theo Akinyele.
Text: Heb. 10:5-7.
“5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me. 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, You had no pleasure. 7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To do Your will, O God.”
Jer. 29:11 – 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” NKJV
The concept of individualism basically states that though God created the whole Universe, yet He has a unique destiny for everyone. We must never forget that as individuals we live in the scope of time; a night is coming when no man can work – John 9:4. God has a plan and will for our lives. John 15:16. The end goal of every believer must be to inherit the Kingdom of God. John 14:1-13. We are but Pilgrims on this earth, our eternal home is in Heaven.
We are in a New Chapter and Era in IGA as we just marked 25 years as a Church. There are expectations from Heaven regarding us as a Church and the members. Jesus said He has come in the volume of book that is written of Him. It’s time we need to seek the Lord regarding His next Chapter for our lives because a greater glory is coming. God is always doing something new in every season or phase in life. We all need to be rightly positioned to maximize what He is doing. His principal reason for calling us is that we may be with Him (Fellowship) Jer. 9:24
Repositioning Ourselves for This New Chapter
- We need to upgrade our relationship with God. No more room for a causal relationship with God. Ps. 103:1-7
- We must increase in our knowledge of God. This is only achieved in the secret place. Phil. 3:9-10
- We must never substitute anything for our relationship with God as it is what sustains us in the day of battle. Dan. 3:18
- We must begin to walk worthy of God. Col. 1:9-10. God is demanding for a perfect walk from us like He demanded from Abraham – Gen. 17:1
- We must begin to walk in wisdom – this is to help us redeem the time. Ps. 90:12
- We must continue to walk in obedience. Disobedience was mankind’s first sin. Luke 1:6
- We must increase in our love for the brethren. 1 John 4:8. We must also learn how to deal with offence. Acts 24:16
- We must align our lives with the word of God. Daily meditation on His word must be our lifestyle – Psalm 1.
- We must eschew all forms of sin
- We must win souls as this is the great commission from the Master to us – Go ye into the World and make disciples of all Nations. Matt.28
In closing, the Master is coming for a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle, it’s time to assess and make the appropriate adjustment to fulfill what is written in Heaven’s volume of book concerning us.
God Bless You!
