December 2025 | The Lord In The Midst of Thee is Mighty
Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.
Text: Numbers 21:8-15.
“8 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived. 10 Now the children of Israel moved on and camped in Oboth. 11 And they journeyed from Oboth and camped at Ije Abarim, in the wilderness which is east of Moab, toward the sunrise. 12 From there they moved and camped in the Valley of Zered. 13 From there they moved and camped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness that extends from the border of the Amorites; for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites. 14 Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord: “Waheb in Suphah, The brooks of the Arnon, 15 And the slope of the brooks that reaches to the dwelling of Ar, and lies on the border of Moab.”NKJV
After Israel looked unto the Brazen serpent (a figure of Christ) and were healed they moved forward without resistance towards their promise land. God healed all their infirmities, brokenness and stagnation. We as well experience advancement without resistance as We keep beholding Christ, The Author and Finisher of our faith. Many times, the enemy’s goal is to distract or keep our gaze away from the LORD, for as long as we keep looking unto Him, we shall be enlightened and not be put to shame.
After God healed Israel, He also led them into their destiny. The pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night represented the presence of God in their midst. Deut. 31:6 – Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. God does not just meet us at the present,
He also goes ahead of us into the future. God has gone to occupy our future (2026 and beyond), hence He tells us “fear not”- thus, nothing can come our way in 2026 that He hasn’t already taken care of. He said He will proclaim His Name ahead of us. In Isaiah 43:1-2 God assures His redeemed of His presence amid any storms of life.
Expectations for Year 2026
- Restoration of strength for your Journey. God healed Israel and moved them into their inheritance. The healing was a point of transition into their inheritance.
- You will get a new direction to your promise land. You are on your path to your destiny.
- They received victory as God conquered all the surrounding cities for them (Num. 8:21-25). Power to take over came upon them.
- They transitioned from survival to possession – from daily manna to a land flowing with milk and honey.
- They confidence to serve God increased. They witnessed Him as a miracle worker.
- The promise was fulfilled as they got into Canan lLand that same year. They praised and extolled Him.
In conclusion, the LORD God in our midst has been Mighty, He is assuring us that He has gone ahead of us into 2026 – Our future is thus, Secured.
God Bless You, Richly!
