Divine Strength to Mount Up.

Divine Strength to Mount Up.

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Isaiah 40:28-31.

28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.KJV

God has a Divine Purpose for your life which can only be fulfilled with strength from above. Elijah was weak and tired (after Mount Camel’s victory) but God strengthened him with “Angels’ Food”. 1 King 19:5-8. Even our Lord Jesus Christ needed strengthening in Gethsemane to fulfill His destiny. We all need help from above every second of our lives. A pregnant woman needs all the strength she can get to safely deliver her baby. Human strength is insufficient to make any meaningful impact in life. Without Him, we can do nothing – John 15:5. Eph. 6:10 tells us to be “strong in the Lord and in the power of His Might”. We need God every moment of our lives much more than oxygen!

The God we serve is never weary; He never slumbers nor sleeps. He alone is able to carry us through the ups and downs of life. There is no searching to His understanding, He is the only wise God. We need to be ever mindful of our weaknesses and continually acknowledge Him in all our ways. God alone knows the exact paths & routes to your success in life. It is strength from above that enables us to mount up with wings like Eagles; run and not be weary and walk and not faint. Paul charged Timothy that he needed Divine strengthening so as to be to endure hardness like a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

It is only by His Grace we can become all we ought to become in life. By strength shall no man prevail; it takes divine strengthening to do the natural supernaturally and the supernatural naturally. Samson was strengthened from above before he could do the unfathomable. God comes under those who wait upon Him and carries them with His everlasting Arm. Exodus 19:4. No natural strength or skill can part the Red Sea! Eagles use little strength to fly as they use the wind to soar.

How Do You Succeed Effortless This Year?

  •  Let the Spirit of God come upon you. Ezekiel 37
  • Let God be your source – Phil. 4:19, Eph. 3:20
  • You must be dependent on the strength of God. Phil. 4:13
  • Realize you cannot achieve anything meaningful without Him. John 15:5
  • Put your faith in Him and visualize in attaining your victory. Prov. 3:5-6
  • Stay informed through the word of God. Joshua 1:8
  • Fasting and praying renews our strength – Matt. 17:20-21
  • Quality praise and worship – Syrophoenician woman in Mark 7:24-30

In closing, the Psalmist said, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. In our weakness, His Strength is made Perfect.

God bless you!
