Embracing A Fresh Start.

Embracing A Fresh Start.

Ministering: Senior Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Psalm 114:1-8.

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.”

Every New Year is an opportunity for a fresh start. When Israel stepped out of Egypt, it was the end of an era and also the beginning of another era. In RCCG we are in the start of an era of “The Siege is Over”. In addition, in Isaac Generation, God has also told us that this Year is “a Year of More Than Enough”.

To experience a fresh start with God, we must believe His Word and His Prophets. 2 Chron. 20:20. This Year is to us a Land flowing with milk and honey, where God wants to bring His Word to past in our lives. For us to enjoy a fresh start, God counsels us “Judah (Praise)” must be our lifestyle. Judah (Praise) carries God’s Presence. Our greatest asset as believers is The Presence of God. Lines fall onto you in pleasant places as you immerse yourself in God’s Presence.

Psalm 100:4 says Enter into His Gates with thanksgiving, and into His Courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His Name. Psalm 67:4 – Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. Psalm 149:6-9 – Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.

As you Praise Him this Year, nothing will be able to keep you bound, you will be like what was said of Judah in Gen. 49:9 – “Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?”

The Children of Judah – 1 Chronicles 4:1 makes us to understand that Judah has 5 children – Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal. Perez means “breakthrough”; Hezron means “surrounded by wall” (protection); Carmi means “Growth or expansion”; Hur means “Purity”; and Shobal means “multiple blessings”. This means wherever Judah goes, his children follow him.

God Bless You!
