Everlasting Father.

Everlasting Father.

September 2025 | The Season of Unusual Speed | Celebration Service

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Isaiah 9:5-7.

For every warrior’s sandal from the noisy battle, and garments rolled in blood, will be used for burning and fuel of fire. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this..” NKJV

Everlasting Father means God is without duration. He was not created so He does not have a beginning nor ending. He is not only unlimited but also exists beyond the realm of time. God in the Person of His Son as become all things to us in The New Covenant – He is our wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Before Christ came, all human efforts were in futility, He is the One that gives meaning to our existence.

Christ is the Head of His Church; He has promised the gate of hell will not prevail against Her. As we celebrate 25 years of His faithfulness over Isaac Generation’s Assembly, it is important to thank Him for all He has done and will continue to do over this Assembly. Forever He is our God and will continue to be our God even unto the end.

For 25 years, He has not failed to be “our Eben-ezer” (Helper). As our Eben-ezer, He has stood as our rock in the place of battle. From 1 Sam. 4, Eben-ezer means a place of loss, a place of restoration and a place of help. We are here to praise Him for touching lives and reviving destinies for 25 years.

Why The Theme “Everlasting Father” (IGA @ 25)

  • It is to acknowledge God’s unchanging nature. He is the Same yesterday, today and forever.
  • To celebrate His Fatherly care and preservation all through our infant and developmental stages.
  • To remind us of His unbroken covenant. Everlasting Father speaks of “continuity”. His promises never expire.
  • To call the Church back to relationship with Him.
  • To inspire confidence in God for the future of Isaac Generation Assembly.

In closing, God has never failed over IGA in His covenant of peace, fruitfulness, prosperity, hope, victory, health, favor, joy, protection and life. Romans 9:25 sums up God’s Hand upon Isaac Generation for 25 years – “As He says also in Hosea: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved.”

God Bless You!
