God In The Midst Of His People.

God In The Midst Of His People.

Ministering: Senior Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Psalm 150:1-6.

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

The above Psalm is an invitation for everything that has breath to Praise The Lord. In Psalm 34, he also said, O Magnify The Lord with Me, and let us praise Him together. When we praise Him, things happen. Praising God is creating a platform or soft-landing for His Supernatural Move. Ps. 22:3 says God inhabits the praises of His people.

When 3 mighty nations came to confront Judah in 2 Chron. 20, Praise was the weapon God asked His people to use and in no time their enemies became history. Judah initially was afraid, but they acknowledged their eyes were on God and began to praise Him. If you want God to move supernaturally on your behalf this month, just set your heart to praise Him.

Praising God is a mighty weapon in warfare. There is rarely any warfare weapon more powerful than Praise! And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 2 Chron. 20:22

Praise sends confusion into the camp of the enemy. 2 Cor. 10:4-5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ..”

Praise can turnaround for good what the enemy meant for evil. The 3 mighty nations brought treasures to the battlefield, and after their demise, Judah took the spoils because they engaged the weapon of Praise.

Also at the Dedication of Solomon’s Temple, Praise brought down the Glory of The Lord. 2 Chron. 7:1-3. God also gave Solomon a blank check when he offered uncommon worship and sacrifice to God.

God always responds in a supernatural way to anyone who worships Him in Spirit and Truth. Praise is so important to God that He assigned 24 Elders in Heaven to be offering praises to Him continually. Rev. 4 & 5. God desires to take His glory in your matter, but to do that, He needs your sacrifice of Praise. God can do all things but praise Himself.

How Does God Dwell in the Midst of His People:

  • Praise Him – your praise refreshes God. Ps. 100:4, Jn. 4:23-24.
  • Praise Him for your past victories. Remember how He has come through for you in the past. 1 Sam. 17:45.
  • Do not doubt the ability of God to come through for you. Gen. 3:1.
  • Do not be proud, recognize that you are what you are by His Grace. God does more for the thankful.
  • Know your weakness and ask God for Help. Moses in Exo. 33. Solomon as well asked God for Wisdom.

God Bless You!
