Text: Matt. 28:1-10.
” 1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.” KJV.
The greatest thing that happened to us as Christians happened on the Resurrection morning. His birth though very great but wouldn’t have meant much without His death & resurrection. The greatest news to mankind came on a Sunday morning like this – The resurrection morning. His birth was for His death. During His earthly ministry He did wonderful works – healing the sick, delivering the oppressed, etc. but all those weren’t His main purpose for coming. His goal was to become our ransom on the cross. Mohammed came, died and that was the end of him. Our Lord is no longer in the grave, rather the keys of Hell and Death are now in His hands. His resurrection brought transformation and life to humanity. As many that has received Him have received power that is unlike any other – Resurrection Power.
In His resurrection, He is now present with us till the end of age. There is a new beginning for you and I because of His resurrection. New beginnings birth opportunities to right the wrong of yesterday and to create a better tomorrow. He is not Here (in the grave), He is Risen! As Death could no longer hold Him down, as His believer, no power of darkness will ever be able to hold you down again. Your victory began when He resurrected from the grave.

In closing, For the Message of The Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is The Power of God – 1 Cor. 1:18. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. Phil. 2:9-11.
God Bless You!
