VINDICATE ME, O GOD!

VINDICATE ME, O GOD!

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Psalm 43:1-5.

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

Romans 5:9 tells us we are justified and vindicated by The Blood of Jesus. We live in a wicked world where people’s pictures are placed upon evil altars. Col. 2:14 also says “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His Cross”. As believers, The Blood of Jesus is always speaking better things (Vindication, Mercy) over our lives. It takes The Blood of Jesus to deliver any man from the tyranny of the enemy.

Biblical Case Studies

  1. In Psalm 13:1, the Psalmist pleaded with God – “How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? Forever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?”
  2. God remembered and vindicated Hannah from all the mockery of the enemy by blessing her with Samuel and other children.
  3. In John 9:1-5, The Lord vindicated a blind man by miraculously giving sight to him.
  4. In Daniel 6:12-28, The Lord also vindicated and exalted Daniel despite the false accusation of his adversaries.

What To Do To Be Vindicated

1. Repent and do away from all wicked works – Acts 3:19

2. Live a Holy and Transparent Life – Heb. 12:14

3. Wait upon God. Don’t argue with the adversary – 1 Sam. 1 (Hannah waited and never argued), Isaiah 30:1

5. Worship and Praise Him in that difficult situation – Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25-26

6. Forgive others – Matthew 6:12-15, Job. 42:10

8. Have Faith in The Lord – Hannah had faith God would vindicate her. Rom. 4:17

In conclusion, God said Zechariah 12:8 – “ In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of The Lord before them.

God Bless You!
