Text: Joel 2:23-29.
” 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. 27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.“
We are in a season of Revival. Every revival is a result of God’s usual visitation. From our above Text, we see God promising the outpouring of His Spirit on His People. As we are in the post-COVID era, God is visiting His people by the outpouring of His Spirit. He promised to send the former and the latter rain, to restore wasted years and causing His people to eat in plenty. Have you been negatively impacted by the COVID season? God is saying He is restoring the years you have lost and also cause an abundance.
Revelations and Visions are coming to you because of the Revival the Church is going through. God never starts what He does not finish; be at peace, The Lord is Your Defense and you have plenty of silver (Job 22:21-25).
His Word must be our priority before His Power comes upon our lives. We need to first submit to Him for the power of wealthy and healing to come upon us. There is a reason for God giving you His Power; it is to be His Witness and carryout His Assignment. We must be His Vessel to carry His Power. Our seeking The Lord should not be for our personal benefits per se but to be vessels that manifest His Kingdom everywhere.
We were redeemed to be vessels of God. Through us, God wants to set free many lives; He is pouring His Spirit upon us so that there would be a mighty revival on Earth. 2 Tim. 2:19. It is our responsibility to purge ourselves from every vice to be vessels of gold in His Hands. There are different vessels in a great house – vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor. Those who purge themselves (of fornication, backbiting, etc) are the vessels of honor God uses to destroy principalities and powers of darkness. Jeremiah 51:20-23.
The earth is filled with all manners of the work of darkness, and God is looking for vessels who would be the light to bring revival on the earth. To be a vessel of honor demands great preparation. God is sending His Children into the midst of the wolves of the world in order to pull down the powers of darkness.
God did not redeem us to be passive in the face of the powers of darkness; we are to be The Voice of The Lord against every evil and unrighteousness. God is pouring His Spirit upon us to be God’s Voice not the echo of another person. We are sent to address our generation with God’s Voice; else, there will be a great degeneration in our generation. You are God’s battle-axe and weapon of war God intends to use to pull down the powers of darkness.
