Text: Psalm 150:1-3.
” 1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.” KJV.
As the redeemed of the Lord, God expects us to be vessels of continual praise to Him. Praise is a worship expression of who God is, What He has done and what you are trusting Him to do. Praise is not what you see (physically per se) but what is written (in His word). In Rom. 4:17, Abraham believed and was rejoicing that it was written that he was a father of Nations. He rejoiced in faith and what was written became his reality.
Everyone has a physical address where they live; God likewise has an address – His Address is anywhere He is praised continually; for He dwells in the praises of His people. God lives in the Street called “Thanksgiving”. The exact number of His house is praise.
Praise is what facilitates fellowship with the God Who alone is higher than the Heavens. In Acts 12, God sent an Angel to deliver Peter from prison because the Church was praying. But in Acts 16:25, Paul and Silas switched to praise, and God sent Himself (not an Angel) and delivered not only Paul and Silas but all that were bound around them. This means our praises also delivers everyone around us.
Kingdom praise involves the entirety of your being (especially your heart). Many of the Psalms (Ps. 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150 etc.) enjoin us to praise God daily as long as there is breath in us. Let everything that has breath – not everything that has house or has car or has money or is married or has children – should praise the Lord!
His Thoughts towards us are thoughts of Peace. Not for His Grace, we could have remained dusts forever.
The Acceptable & Effective Kingdom Praise
- It is a praise filled with joy & merriness in your heart – James 5:13. Only filled balloons fly to high places.
- We must praise Him with understanding – singing, clapping and dancing. Ps. 92:1
- Praise Him with righteousness. He is a Holy God and expects us to be Holy as well. Ps. 24:3-5
In closing, peace is not necessarily the absence of a storm but the presence of praise in the midst of the fiercest storm (like Paul & Silas in Acts 16). In Isaiah 66:9, God said that He will never bring His people to the point of birth and not cause them to deliver. September is the 9th month, and it connotes “a birthing” of God’s next Agenda for your life. Ps. 67:5-7 enjoins all the people to praise Him so that the Earth could yield its increase.
This means the Earth does not yield to murmurers and complainers but only to thankful people!
God Bless You!
