March 2026 | Victory Over Every Opposition
Ministering: Pastor Chinedu Aduba.
Text: 1 John 5:4.
“4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” NKJV
Life is full of trials and challenges but the good news for every believer is that the Lord has overcome for us. We are redeemed to walk in Christ’s victory on the Cross. Our hope is built on no other person aside the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has commissioned us to live a victorious life over every opposition (worry, fear, sin, anxiety, and failures).
What is Victory?
It is the act of defeating an opponent. Spiritual victory is man’s triumph over sin, death and satan through faith in Christ Jesus.
Steps in Living a Victorious Life
- You must be born-again – John 3:3
- You must build your faith – Prov. 3:5
- You must grow spiritually (walking in the Spirit) – Gal. 5:16
- You must hear God’s voice continually – John 10:27
- Pray to sustain your victory – Luke 18:1
Hearing God’s Voice Continually
We must train our spirit-man to know the voice of God, lest we err in our decisions. Daily we are making choices that have consequences, thus, we would always need the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is your right as a child of God to know the voice of the Shepherd. Many times, the difference between life and death is following God’s voice. God is in us as the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit is not “Something” but “A Living Personality”.
How do We know The Voice of God?
- We must know the Word. 1 Tim. 3:16.
- We must be prayerful. Don’t pray with a heart that is made up on what to do regardless of what God says.
- You must test what you hear. Never be in a hurry. Anything creating fear in you without any edification is rarely from God – God’s voice brings peace. Make sure what you are hearing is aligning with God’s character and word. 1 Cor. 14:3
- You must be patient whenever you have heard the voice of God on any matter. Know and be sure, don’t rush into any major step, remember, he that believes will now make haste.
In closing, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God (Romans 8:14). These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
God Bless You, Richly!
