Living By His Word.

Living By His Word.

Ministering: A/P Alaba Olanipekun.

Text: Psalm 119:105.

” 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The Word of God is forever settled in Heaven and on Earth. Matt. 24:35 – says Heaven and Earth will pass away but not a jot of His Word will pass without being fulfilled. God’s Word does not change. God is not a man that He should lie, whatever He has spoken will come to pass.

Our first scenario is from Luke 5:1-7, we see The Master giving an uncommon instruction to Peter to launch out into the deep despite past fruitfulness efforts. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at Thy Word I will let down the net. What was the result of obedience to The Word of The Master – a great catch beyond their imagination. This means God puts an end to any man’s toiling by sending His Word to them.

Our second scenario is from Mark 5 – we see the story of the mad man of Gardarene. The Word Himself came to him and the work of darkness ended in his life. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

Our third scenario is from 1 Kings 13 – we see The Word of The Lord coming to a man of God to deliver a message and leave the city immediately. Unfortunately, after delivering the message, he rested on the way and a senior man of God caught up with him and derailed him, thus, his premature death. The lesson point here is to be obedient to The Word. It’s never too late to align yourself to The Word of God.

Our fourth scenario is from Matt. 4:4 – But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. This exhorts us to make The Word of God our True Food. Our spirit man needs to be fed with The Word else we will be spiritually weak. Luke 9:25 – For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? Our spirit man is our real person, hence must be well fed and nourished.

We all must become diligent students of The Word to experience greater dimension of God.

God Bless You!
