Text: Psalm 107:1-6.
“1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. 5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.”
A Megaphone is an old musical funnel-like instrument used to amplify the voice to an audible capacity for an audience. A microphone in today’s world is a replica of a megaphone in the time of old. As believers, we are the Megaphones or Microphones of His Praise.
Psalm 124 tells us if it had not been The Lord on our side …..! In the past 2 months, lots of waters have passed under the bridge all over the world, but thanks be to God for His Divine Protection and Preservation. O that men will praise The Lord for His wonderful work. Lam. 3:20-23 also gives credence to our need to Praise The Lord especially is such a time like this. No human ability or wisdom is capable of delivering anyone from this deluge befuddling the world, only God in His Mercy is the Sure way out.
It has been by The Lord’s Mercy we are not consumed, and His compassion fails not.
His Faithfulness is great beyond the understanding of men. The Lord has preserved us for such a time like this. 1 Pet. 2:9 – But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. God is Worthy to be Praised. Rev. 4:11 – “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will, they exist and were created.” To be alive is a privilege given to us daily by God, we should never take it for granted but continually be the megaphone of His Praise.
Psalm 103:1-5 enjoins us to remember the Goodness of The Lord and bless Him all the time. We also praise Him for His Blood that daily cleanses us from all our sins. Psalm 105 also tells us to give thanks to The Lord and make known His Deeds among us, and sing Psalms to Him.
How Can We Show His Wondrous Work in Our Lives?
1. We need to be the Amplifier of His wondrous works in our lives. Psalm 34
2. By Praising Him with all our being – everything within us – your spirit, soul, and body. Romans 12:1-3
3. Serve God with your entire being and time. He preserves us to serve Him worthily. Psalm 100, Deut. 6:5
4. Serve Him with your substance. Luke 6:38
In closing, to be alive is a great privilege given to us daily by God, we should never take it for granted but continually praise Him by being the megaphone of His Praise.
