Praise that clears the Path for a Bountiful Harvest.

Praise that clears the Path for a Bountiful Harvest.

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Psalm 67:1-7.

1 God be merciful unto us and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.KJV

There is a praise that provokes the blessing of God upon a person. Psalm 126 says – When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. There is a praise that causes a man to wriggle out of every work of darkness. There is every reason to be grateful to God everyday – His mercy is what has kept your breath, clothed you with favor, provided for your family, preserved your loved ones, etc. Be grateful, for God has been more than good to you. No matter what that issue is, if not for God it would have been worse.

Praise is actually what turns ugly situations into testimonies. If you are not grateful you will murmur. His steadfast love never ceases, His mercies are new every morning. Outside Him we are a dead dog, it is in Him we live, and move and have our being. We owe our existence to none but God. We are what we are by His grace. We created us so we can show forth His praise. The Psalmist said his heart is fixed within Him to praise the Lord.

Implications of Praising God

  • Praise attracts God more into Your Life – Ps. 68:1-3
  • When God moves, all hills, valleys and troubles disappear – Ps. 104:32
  • When God comes the Hosts of Heaven always moves with Him – Rev. 19:14-15
  • When He comes none of Your enemy or issue will remain – Ezek. 37, 2 Chron. 20

The only antidote to dryness is continual praise to God. Men go down because they refuse to appreciate God. They take the doings of God for granted and thus remain grounded in life.

God bless you!
