Principles of a Fruitful Vine.

Principles of a Fruitful Vine.

Ministering: Pastor Olusegun Joseph.

Text: Psalm 128:1-5.

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord. The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.KJV

Nothing just happens on Earth, there is a principle governing everything. God blessed man in Genesis 1 to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and have dominion over the Earth. Man as the Image of God was ordained to bring forth and manifest His blessings on Earth. Even the entire creation is waiting earnest for the manifestation of the glory of the Sons of God (Romans 8:19-21). It is by us as children of God that creation can be liberated from its bondage. The fall of Adam in Eden had a negative impact on creation. For every creature, there is a measure of glory God has deposited in that creature. More so when you are in Christ Jesus, the glory of God in you is far greater.

4 Principles from Psalm 128

  • The fear for the Lord. To fear The Lord is to honor and respect Him. Ps. 110:10. The fear of The LORD precedes every blessing from God. He is to be feared as no man can search His wisdom nor understand His mysteries in creation.
  • Be a partner with The Lord by walking in His ways. He redeemed us so we can have an intimate walk with Him. Our level of fruitfulness is directly related to the quality of your walk with Him. our principal assignment on Earth is to daily walk with God. Enoch walked with God.
  • Abide in the Lord Jesus. John 15:4-5. Abide means making Christ your permanent home. It is to make Him your all in all. By abiding in Him, He supplies all the nutrients for you to be fruitful in every good work. 1 Cor. 3:9 says we are God’s husbandry and God’s building. This means we are to be faithful stewards of everything He has given to us. Phil. 4:12
  • There is a place to be fruitful. Zion is our place to be fruitful as it is a place of gladness and fruitfulness.  Obadiah 1:17. There is no delay nor stagnancy in Zion. Zion is a picture of the church as the body of Christ. Isaac was fruitful in Rehoboth – Gen. 26:22

In closing, Zechariah 8:12-17 (NLT) – For I am planting seeds of peace and prosperity among you. The grapevines will be heavy with fruit. The earth will produce its crops, and the heavens will release the dew. Once more I will cause the remnant in Judah and Israel to inherit these blessings. 13 Among the other nations, Judah and Israel became symbols of a cursed nation. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing. So don’t be afraid. Be strong, and get on with rebuilding the Temple! “For this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: I was determined to punish you when your ancestors angered me, and I did not change my mind, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 15 But now I am determined to bless Jerusalem and the people of Judah. So don’t be afraid. But this is what you must do:

Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace. 17 Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.”

God Bless You!
