Repositioning of Destiny.

Repositioning of Destiny.

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo (Senior Pastor).

Text: Gen. 41:37-45.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. 38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according  unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43 And he made him ride in the second chariot which he had, and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. 45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah, and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Your ability and strength can never take you anywhere in life; it takes The Grace of God to make you what you ought to be. Grace anoints you to do the extraordinary in life. Grace is far superior to human intellect for by strength shall no man prevail. It takes God in anyone’s life to make a mark in life. John 15:5 says we can do nothing without Him. God was with Joseph, hence he became envious in a foreign land. God was the main factor in Abraham becoming the father of many nations.

Whenever God repositions you, the table cannot but turnaround for you. When He repositioned Joseph, the table turned around for him from prisoner to prime minister in Egypt. God also instructed Isaac to dwell in the land and his destiny changed for the better despite famine in the land. Nothing can be compared to staying where God asked you to stay. Abiding in your God ordained land makes the land yield its increase to you. In the same situation with Jacob, God told him to go back to Bethel and all his struggles ended when he went to his God-ordained land. God also repositioned David from taking care of the sheep to ministering to the king in the palace. Only God can truly reposition any man overnight; vain is the help of man.

Despite all the challenges that came the way of Joseph in Egypt, because God was with him God created a problem in the palace that only Joseph could solve. “Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” – Gen. 41:39-40.

Key Lessons from Above Text (Gen. 41:37-45)

1.     Joseph put his trust in God despite all the contrary things happening. It may appear God is silent over your situation, be rest assured God is working behind the scene.

2.     As you wait for His repositioning:

a.      Recognize that God never slacks concerning His Promises. Num. 23:19, 2 Peter 2:9

b.     Know that God never comes late; He will make wasted years to work for your good. Rom. 8:28

c.      Remember God rewards faithfulness. Heb. 6:10

d.     It pays to trust God and to rely on His Word and Promises.

e.      Understand that your waiting period is only revealing who you truly are.

f.       Note that it pays to be on the right side of God (never compromise).

In closing, “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” – 1 Cor. 4:1-2.

God Bless You!
