Swimming in Glory

Swimming in Glory

Ministering: Pastor Olusegun Joseph.

Text:  John 4:7-15.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.” KJV.

There is a difference between washing with water and swimming in water. Glory means Divine Excellence and Majesty. God never shares His Glory with any creature. John 9:1-7 tells us the encounter of a man born blind, with Jesus, he was asked to go wash and thereafter his blindness became history. From our above Text, Jesus came to pull the Samaritan woman out of the muddy water of five failed marriages.

Jesus is not inviting us to swim in an ordinary pool but in The Living Water, which is just Himself. This Living Water gives life abundantly. Jesus is also the Life Jacket to swimming in this Living Water. John 7:38 says if you believe out of your Belly shall flow Rivers of Living Water. God’s goal is to make our lives a garden that is continually watered by the Lord Himself. He wants to lead us from Living Water to Rivers of Living Water and then to Fountain of Living Waters (Rev. 7:17).

Luke 10:17-19 reveals how the 70 disciples returned after a great Evangelistic Crusade. Jesus also gives us power that no enemy can insult. He is also the Oil that takes away every hardship from our lives. Whatever that situation is, realize God will use it to glorify Himself. Without darkness, the glory of Light cannot be revealed.

What Happens When You Swim in Glory?

  • A Helper of destiny will come your way to assist you in life. Exod. 4:27
  • God will overturn any regulation or law to your favor so you can possess your inheritance. Numb. 27:4-9
  • God will overturn your seeming disadvantage, thus, disappointment will be far from you. Exod. 4:11-12
  • There will be undeniable Testimonies that none can deny. Acts 4:16

In closing, everything we pass through in life is an opportunity for God’s Power to showcase His Glory. Pharaoh was created for God’s Power to be made known and feared by all for Eternity.

God Bless You!
