Thanksgiving – A Pathway to Open Doors.

Thanksgiving – A Pathway to Open Doors.

Ministering: Pastor Olusegun Joseph

Text: 1 Chron. 16:8-12.

Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. 10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 11 Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. 12 Remember his marvelous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;KJV.

God expects our thanksgiving every day – for all He has done, all He is doing and all He will continue to do.

Forget what happened in the past, it could rob you of the joy of today. As a child of God, your best days are always ahead of you, never behind you – for our path is like the shining light shining brighter and brighter.

What does Thanksgiving mean?

Thanksgiving is a powerful tool for opening doors to massive opportunities. Thanksgiving is recognizing the goodness of God; it is acknowledging that every good and every perfect gift comes from Him. God’s Gates open when we approach Him with Thanksgiving. God dwells in the Praises of His People.

2 Cor. 5:18 – all things are of God Who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ. Whatever worthy thing anyone is seeking is domiciled in God. 2 Pet. 1: 3 – says according to His Divine Power, He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

Our Progress in life is tied to our knowledge of God. Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. The more we know Him, the more our appreciation and thanksgiving to Him. David said in Ps. 119:164 that He praises God 7 times a day. Paul and Silas praised Him in the prison and their chains with other prisoners fell off. Affliction and every work of darkness disappears at the presence of praise. The Tree of life in Rev. 22:1-2 produces monthly fruits that is for the healing of Nations.

What Happens When You Give Thanksgiving?

  • Thanksgiving commits God to do what you are thanking Him for – 2 Chron. 20
  • Thanksgiving helps build your faith as doubts flees. 2 Chron. 6:10
  • You are giving a testimony about the greatness of God – 1 Chron. 29:11-13
  • You stand a better chance of another miracle. Hannah in 1 Sam. 2

What makes Open Doors to be Permanent?

  • Don’t walk on the counsel of the ungodly – Ps. 1:1
  • Don’t sit among the mockers

God bless you!
