Text: John 15 1 – 5.
“1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
May The Lord reattach our lives back to our Root in Him. The Lord wants to earn His Glory over our lives. He wants His Glory to be manifest over every part of our lives so that His Name could be praised. Revelation 4:11 – Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
God is the Source of our lives hence has the exact solution to whatever issue confronting us. May the Lord fix our Lives. Matt. 11:28-30
From our above Text, The Lord is saying if we are not properly attached to Him continually we can do nothing. When we detach ourselves from The Lord, we will be fruitless (unproductive) in our ways. It’s often said that 90% of Success is a result of “proper positioning”. The Lord is saying as long as you continually attach yourself to me, go to sleep, I will handle the rest Myself)! Branches attached to The Vine do not struggle to bear fruit for the root naturally and effortlessly supplies the nutrients for the branch to bear and display the fruits. God is willing to fill our lives with fruits (Testimonies, Successes, etc) this year as we remain attached to Him.
John 1:5 says, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” Isaiah 43:7 – “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”
God never created any man to live or depend on themselves. It is often said that a River that forgets its source would soon dry up. The prodigal son (Luke 15:11-24) is a case study of the consequences of detaching ourselves from our source. The Word of God is the spiritual grease that lubricates the engine of our lives. Coming to The Church is coming to God’s Gas Station to be filled with God’s Power, Wisdom, Anointing and Divine Fullness.
