Ministering: Senior Pastor Shola Awobajo.
Text: Mark 16:14-20.
“14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
The above Text is the last Word our Lord gave to His disciples. His final charge to us is – to go forth into the world and preach The Gospel. This charge was backed up with His Authority and Power. The final words of any person is always very critical as it represents the utmost thoughts in their heart. Today, it appears the Church is complacent with maintaining the status quo. This is a wake-up call to awake from every slumber. We were Saved to Serve.
The passion of our General Overseer (Pastor E.A Adeboye) is for more souls to won into the Kingdom. Currently there is a drive to win to Christ 8 million souls in 80 days (Dec. 13, 2021 – March 2, 2022).
As believers, winning souls must be paramount in all we do – we ought to take the Gospel to the marketplace for Salvation of the unsaved. Rarely should any day pass without our witnessing The Gospel to a creature (human or animal). The revival for souls must be awaken in our hearts – we need to depopulate the kingdom of hell by aligning ourselves to The Great Commission.
The days of seating idly in the Church is over – as His disciples we should be consumed with the ministering The Gospel through the various platforms God has given us (workplaces, neighborhoods, social media pages, etc.).
The Great Commission is spreading the Good News of Christ and His Crucifixion to all the nations of the Earth. The Great Commission is His marching order for us. The heartbeats of Christ is Souls. Sinners are perishing so we cannot afford to be unconcerned.
The devil knows he has a short time hence, working night and day to keep people from the light of The Gospel. Rev. 12:10-12 – “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Consequences of Not Fulfilling This Great Commission:
- Our complete disobedient to the call may spell disaster.
- God will require the blood of the sinners from us.
- To stay in “Jerusalem” (your comfort zone) may endanger your life.
Benefits of Fulfilling This Great Commission:
- When you yield to the call, you will become usable to God.
- God will be bringing massive opportunities to you to win more souls.
- You will be empowered to do what you could not otherwise have been able to do. Mark 16.
- You will become His Ambassador carrying His Presence everywhere you go. – Mark 4:4.
- You will become a star and a light to the world. Dan. 12:3.
What Must You Do?
- Make up your mind to be a soul winner from now.
- Pray for God to give you souls to win into the Kingdom.
God Bless You!
