Text: The Book of Esther.

As Believers in Christ Jesus, God has a plan of ushering us into new seasons. He doesn’t just bring us into new seasons without a preparatory process. Our present seasons are training grounds for the new season.

In the book of Esther is basically how God brought Mordecai and Esther into new seasons. Mordecai was Esther’s Cousin -they were Jews who were captives in a foreign land but by aligning their ways to God’s training process, they entered their new seasons. Mordecai was very instrumental to Esther’s success – his guidance and counsels made Esther fulfill her destiny. Mordecai appears to be a type of the Holy Spirit and Esther a type of the church.

Steps to Entering into your New Season 

1.  Identification & Instructions 

• Before any new season, there has to be an identification of your present season
• You cannot reach your next destination unless you give thanks for where you currently are 
• Many are stuck in life because they keep murmuring about their present season. 
• Wherever there is identification, instructions will usually follow
• If you don’t know where you are, you can’t have instructions to where you ought to go. 
• God’s instructions are rarely complicated, they’re usually simple for the meek at heart. 
• Mordecai advised Esther to watch her ways and conduct herself properly. 

2.  Integrity 

• Tests and trials usually come to assess our level of Integrity  
• Mordecai was a Man of integrity. He refused to bow down to the Persian (World’s) system, Esther 2:21-22 
• Mordecai admonished Esther to rise up and stand up for God’s People. Esther 4:13-14
• Nobody knows when the tests of God comes, thus, we have to be ever ready. 
• God always has tremendous things for those who love Him. 1 Cor. 2:9

3.  There must be a stage of Wilderness

• Prayers & Fasting is like going to the wilderness to seek God’s Help. Matt. 4:1
• Esther went into Fasting and Prayers to save God’s People. 
• Her sacrifice and boldness helped preserved God’s People from Haman’s deadly plot. 
• The wilderness subdues our flesh so we can behold the Things of God
• Esther 5 reveals how God uses Fasting and Prayer to bring us into Favor with those in Authority 
• God uses our wilderness experience to get rid of unproductive habits so that they don’t follow us into the new season.

4. The Harvest 

•  God has way more for us than what we think. 
• Harvests is the continuous process of gathering crops
• God’s Harvest is usually for a lifetime not just a momentary thing. 
• God gave the Jews victory against their enemies, even riches were given to them
• You cannot have Prayed for 10 years, and you get a 5-minute harvest – God’s Harvests are continuous testimonies after testimonies. 
• God’s Harvests are not limited to material things, Mordecai was promoted from a captive to 2nd in charge to The King.
