Text: Psalm 121:1-8.
” 1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
As we mark our 21st Anniversary as a Church, The Lord has been our Helper and The Builder of His Church. This Service is actually a Thanksgiving to God for His Faithfulness and Help in the last 21 Years in Isaac Generation Assembly.
Without helpers in the journey of life, no man fulfills destiny. Many would have succeeded in life if they had found a helper. Every man needs help in life. Our destiny is at the mercy of God’s connection of helpers our way. The impotent man by the pool in John 5 found the True Helper in Jesus Christ. There is no helper like our God.
Ps. 124:1-3 says, “ 1 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say; 2 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us.”
We all need help to succeed in any area of life. The help of man is good but incomparable to the Help of God. Only a Helper like God can raise the dead and turnaround any impossible situation. If The Lord would not help you, where could your help come from? These were the words of a bewildered king to a woman (2 Kings 6:27). May The Lord come through for you.
Man’s help will always lead to disappointment. Psalm 60:11 – Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless. Jer. 17:5 says – … Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm. God is The Helper of the helpless. He helps without complaining or hidden motives.
Our help is from The Lord Who made the Heavens and the Earth. The storm might come, the wind might blow, but as long as God is your help, you will overcome them all. The One that keeps us neither sleeps nor slumbers.
The Lord Who is our True Helper is The Provider and Sustainer of everything. He invites us anew to Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
God Bless You!
