The Voice of Mercy (IGA 20th Anniversary).

The Voice of Mercy (IGA 20th Anniversary).

Ministering: Pastor Peter Olawale (RCCG SATGO, Prayer).

Text: Mark 10:46-52.

“ 46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. 50 And he, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

The Mercy of God has a voice that speaks.

Whenever His Mercy speaks; the followings happen:

1.     The abandoned will be heard, called, and settled. John 5:1-9 is an account of a man abandoned for 38 years in Pool of Bethsaida; The Mercy of God located him and settled him. Isa. 60:15

2.     Law would be overruled when Mercy of God speaks – Matt 8:1-3

3.     The Voice of Mercy changes time and season. John 2:1-11. Gen. 41:41-44

4.     Deliverance takes place when Mercy speaks. Matt. 14:14

5.     God displays His Glory anytime His Mercy speaks. Jn. 3:11

Mercy is a searchlight that always reveals certain things that must not be forgotten.

Ps. 62:11. In Gen. 32:1-10 we see Jacob’s supernatural encounter with The Mercy of God.

Another Word for Mercy is Grace – we should not receive His Grace in vain. Firstly, The Mercy of God should push us to submit ourselves anew to The Kingdom Agenda. Secondly, His Mercy or Grace should make us fully dedicate ourselves to the purpose of God’s Kingdom.

In closing, “It is of The Lord’s Mercies that we are not consumed because His Compassions fail not” – Lamentation 3:22

God Bless You!
