Aftermath Of God’s Visitation (IGA – Take a Leap into Glory).

Aftermath Of God’s Visitation (IGA – Take a Leap into Glory).

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo.

Text: Acts 3:1-10.

“ 1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have, give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

We have come this morning to once again appreciate the Faithfulness of God over IGA for 20 Years. Upon turning 20 Years, a person is already an adult and society expects a higher level of decorum. The Heaven and world are expecting to see a greater manifestation of God’s Glory in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God – Rom. 8:19. The above text is a picture or metaphor of God’s intention towards IGA; Peter and John as their custom were on their way to The Temple in the Hour of Prayer and there lied a crippled man whose day of Glory manifested as he was healed and started leaping for joy to The Lord. This is a New Season and Phase in God’s Agenda for us as a Church. No more crippling for us, henceforth, it is leaping from one level of Glory to Another. God is The One Who changes Times and Seasons. Eccl. 3 tells us there is a Time and Season for Everything on the Earth. As a Church, This is our season of prosperity and Greater Glory.

When the enemy wants to destroy a man: he cripples his legs (symbol of his progress); he attacks his head (symbol of his glory), and he also attacks the hands (symbol of his productivity). But in The Presence of The Most High, God delivers His people from every attack. He changed the destiny of the crippled man at the Beautiful Gate, He will do much more for you, His Redeemed. From being a person of pity, God rewrote the destiny of that crippled man by making him a person of envy and amazement. Wherever you are weak, God is here to strengthen you in Jesus’ Name. Wherever people have mocked you, God will turn that mockery into Glory.

After our 20th Anniversary Celebration, there are certain expectations we must not fail to meet, thus, we need to reposition ourselves to be properly aligned to Heaven’s Agenda.

1.     There will be a fulfillment of God’s long-awaited Promises.

2.     Long Season of bondage is brought to an end.

3.     Help and Provision will come from where we least expected. 2 Kings 7

4.     Restoration of all things will be restored.

5.     There will be Outpouring of The Spirit of God. Joel 2:28

Repositioning Yourself for This Glory

1.     Understand the timing of God and key yourself to it. Rev. 22:12

2.     Pray and forsake all wicked works. Isa. 55:6-7

3.     Co-operate with God through your obedience. Isa. 1:19-20

God Bless You!
