This is Your Day of Favor!

Text: Exodus 3:19-22 .

” ¹⁹ And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. ²⁰ And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go. ²¹ And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty. ²² But every woman shall borrow of her neighbor, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.”

Ps. 118 says This is the Day The Lord has made and will rejoice and be glad in it. Every day carries a potential of becoming a day of Favor. Grace means Favor. Your Day is not in the hand of any mortal man but in The Living God. One day of Favor is far better than a 1,000 days of labor. Favor means God’s unmerited gift unto You. Favor is God crowning your little effort with great accomplishment. Favor is things happening positively to you without your input. Favor forbids struggle and toiling. 1 Sam. 16:17-18 shows how David was mightily favored to minister to the King. It takes Favor to pull a man from the back side with the sheep into the Palace with the King. Favor will advertise a Man in the King’s Palace. Favor forbids emptiness.

Favor is the heritage of every Child of God in Christ Jesus. Ps. 102:13 says God will arise and have Mercy of Zion for the set time to favor her as come. From our above Text, the Egyptians had no option but to favor the Israelites because God’s Favor was upon His Covenant Children.

It was God’s Favor that made Esther the preferred choice to be the Queen in a foreign land (Esther 2:15). All through The Old Testament, it was God’s Favor that distinguished Hs People in a foreign land. It was Favor that brought a great number of fish into Peter’s net after he had toiled all-night catching nothing. Our efforts, certificates, resources, connections, etc. can only go thus far, it takes favor to make any meaningful mark in any field on this Earth. Favor will give you what you are unqualified for – whether it be job, business contracts, clients, etc. We are what we are by The Grace of God. Mercy, Grace and Favor are interchangeable, they work in unison with one another.

How to Connect to God’s Favor

1. By releasing Your Faith in The Lord Jesus. Embrace Christ wholeheartedly – 2 Pet. 1:1-2.
2. Through relationships.

• Whatever & Whosoever you are connected to determines your lot in life.
• Iron sharpens iron.
• Lot was blessed by his connection to Abraham.
• Value every relationship God brings your way.
• The People you’re connected to is crucial to how far you rise in life.

     3. Obedience connects you to Favor. Isaiah 1:19.

     4. Honor the People God has placed above You. Never look down on your superiors, God is a God of Order.

     5. Your Sacrificial Giving will cause your life to attract Favor.

•  Cornelius was favored by his sacrificial giving. Acts 10.

• Disobedience
• Engaging in Sin
• Walking in Pride
• Sowing wickedness
• Not being faithful to the Work & Service of God – Rev. 22:12
• Prayerlessness
