Understanding The Power of Grace for Breakthrough

Understanding The Power of Grace for Breakthrough

Ministering: Pastor Olusegun Joseph.

Text: Deut. 32:7-9.

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord‘s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

Breakthrough is all encompassing experience – it contains success, health, victory, etc. Grace is what qualifies us for what we are not ordinarily qualified for. Life is a race; when God runs with a man, this is G-race. Grace is God accompanying You in all your endeavor. Grace is God on duty for you. Grace is God giving you victory without a fight. Grace is God fighting for you in a battle you could never have been able to win.

Man may be able to help you, but no man can lift you above his strength; but when The Everlasting Arm of God lifts you up, You remain up. It is God’s Grace that will cover you errors and crowns your efforts with great results.

When The Grace of God is at work in your life, He will cover your error and color your efforts. Grace makes you preferred above your contemporaries. Malachi 1:1-4. You may have a “class-mate” but never a “Grace-mate”.   Our Race in life are different, hence, God bestows His Grace according to what He has called us to do.

Grace is what makes you relevant in all seasons. We are where we are today by the Grace of God, not just because of our certifications. A Driver’s license may qualify you to drive but it never guarantees your safety. Ps. 89:28-31 – My mercy I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall stand firm with him. His seed also I will make to endure forever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

The Patriarchs all enjoyed the Grace of God. Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, etc. all enjoyed Great Grace from God. As believers in Christ, God loves Us unconditionally. Eccl. 9:11 – The race is not to the swift.

Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise,  Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all. With Grace, opportunities (or chance) will not be against you, and time will not fail you.

Benefits of Grace in Our Lives:

  • Grace strengthens Us beyond our abilities. 1 Kings 17:1-8; 1 Cor. 15:10.
  • Grace is what sustains any man in famine. Elijah was supernaturally sustained in a famine.
  • Grace accelerates promotion. 1 Kings 1.
  • Grace ensures you are never alone in life.
  • Grace gives you inspiration on what to do at every crossroad in life – 2 Chron. 1.
How Can Grace Activate Miracles:
  • God makes Great Grace available for us to propagate the Gospel of Christ. Acts 4:33.
  • Through The Spirit of God dwelling in us, we are able to do greater works. Jn. 14:12, Jn. 16:7.

Nobody grows to become an adult overnight (except the first man, Adam); nature is a process of time. Even advancement in technology cannot turn water to wine, only The Grace of God can work such miracles. This Same Jesus Who water to wine can turn around the life of any man to His Glory. He turned ordinary fishermen into great vessels. This Same Jesus can turn your life and my around. This Same Jesus is here with us today, because He said wherever two or three are, He is there in their midst.

How Grace can be Abused:

  • Walking in disobedience nullifies the Grace of God. Num. 9:33.
  • When we refuse to fear The Lord.

In closing, Heb. 10: 26-29 – For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

God Bless You!
