Wonders of Giving Thanks.

Wonders of Giving Thanks.

Ministering: Pastor Olusegun Joseph.

Text: Psalms 105:1-5.

1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouthKJV.

Thanksgiving causes God to do wondrous things in our lives. If we must forget anything, never let it be the doings of God in our life. The Psalmist charges us in our above text to lay it to heart to always give thanks to the Lord. Ps. 23:4-5 tells us God prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. David remembered that God provided for him even in the wilderness. A change of position is usually provoked by thanksgiving. When you are grateful for the seeming little God has done, He multiplies His doings in your life. Remember the one leper that came back to give thanks was made whole by the Lord.

As believers in Christ Jesus, we should eternally be grateful that God’s presence is ever with us in the person of His Spirit. He is in us to guide us in all our ways. David always acknowledged that it was the leading of the Lord that made the difference in his life. If you are not grateful, then you are a great fool. Nothing is too small to give thanks for. Many are not grateful because they keep comparing themselves with others.

The Wonders of Giving Thanks

  • When you give thanks, God releases fresh anointing upon you. We all need fresh anointing in our pursuits in life. Ps. 92:10
  • Whoever gives thanks has his/her future secured. Job 8:7, Ps. 92:14
  • Divine opportunities always come to thanksgivers. These are opportunities that come without any struggle. David in 1 Sam. 17:25-27
  • God makes grace generously & abundantly available to thanksgivers. 2 Cor. 9:8
  • God makes the lives of thanksgivers like a garden that always produces fruits in every season (even in old age). Ps. 92:12-14
  • When you give thanks, God always moves ahead of you

In Conclusion, regardless of your condition, lay it to heart to always give thanks. Thanksgiving is the will of God for us in all things. Philippians 1:18 – What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Thanksgiving is what makes the tide to change in Your Favor. God is the final authority in everything (not the Government nor any institution), beyond Him is no other, rejoice for this God is your Heavenly Father, who has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. There is no other God beside Him let alone above Him. Rejoice, and again I say rejoice in the Lord!

 God Bless You!
