June, 2026 | Becoming The Visible Expression of God’s Glory & Blessings
Ministering: Senior Pastor Shola Awobajo.
Text: Luke 17:11-17.
“11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?” NKJV
Thanksgiving a powerful tool that attracts the glory of God upon our lives. Thanksgiving can be tailored towards what God has done or what God is yet to do. We are not where we are today by our strength nor intellect – it has been by His mercy. Yes, we plan and prepare the horse for the day of battle but we know safety is of the Lord. We are preserved by His faithfulness and mercy not by our smartness nor carefulness. Lam. 3:22. Paul said in 1 Cor. 15:10 that he was what he was by the grace of God.
Thanksgiving transforms us from glory to glory. Murmuring robs us of God’s glory. Stop complaining of unanswered prayers or what you believe God should have done, it may ignite His anger – Numbers 11:1. Remember the one Leper that came back was made whole, meaning the initial healing was only a test to see if the 10 would at least acknowledge God for what He has done. The difference maker between believers is the level of gratitude in their hearts towards God.
The Power of Thanksgiving
- Thanksgiving acknowledges God as the source of all that we are. Ps. 103:1-3
- Thanksgiving preserves and protects God’s blessings in our lives. Luke 17:19
- Thanksgiving attracts God’s glory and future blessing. Ps. 67:5-7
- Thanksgiving makes us visible expression of God’s glory. 2 Cor. 3:18
In closing, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” – 2 Cor. 3:18.
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising”. Isaiah 60:1-3.
God Bless You, Richly!
