March 2026 | Victory Over Every Opposition
Ministering: Senior Pastor Shola Awobajo.
Text: Psalm 18:37-40.
“37 I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. 38 I have wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet. 39 For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. 40 You have also given me the necks of my enemies, So that I destroyed those who hated me.” NKJV
Victory is the will of God for every believer. Jesus Christ went to the cross to purchase total victory for us in every area of life. In Christ Jesus we have victory over poverty, over sicknesses, over sorrow, and over every other work of darkness. We were redeemed to overcome in every battle; For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the World, even our faith. To be born of God is to be born into a triumphant family.
God’s purpose is for the works of Satan to be destroyed in our lives, family, and territories. For this reason, the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil – 1 John 3:8.
Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly. Every challenge that comes your way is a promotion in the making. This is why scripture enjoins us to count it all joy when trials come our Way. Joseph was always cheerful as he saw all he was going as a path to greatness. David too, all through when he was running from cave to cave, saw light at the end of the tunnel. While in the wilderness, David trained and transformed deformed men into a mighty army.
Lessons from Psalm 18:37-40
- Make a relentless pursuit (persistence is a must) – Ps. 18:37, – Joshua 10:6-14
- The victory God gives is total (complete and decisive) – Ps. 18:38
- When God arises for you, the enemy will lose their courage to rise again – Exod. 14:13
- Know that God is the source of strength in every battle; never go to battle without God’s backing. 1 Kings 22
- Know that God gives total dominion over our adversaries. Ps. 18:40, 1 Sam. 17
In closing, for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory – 2 Cor. 4:17. Never settle for partial victory because God always shows up to everyone who trusts Him to the end.
God Bless You, Richly!
