Grateful for His Guidance, Expecting Increase.

Grateful for His Guidance, Expecting Increase.

May, 2026 | Divine Direction For Unstoppable Increase

Ministering: Pastor Shola Awobajo (Senior Pastor).

Text: Psalm 23:1-6.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.NKJV

Divine direction is one of our greatest needs in life. In Isaiah 45:1, God promised to hold the hands of King Cyrus and to subdue nations before him. If God could do that for a heathen king, how much more we that His Son died for. When God guides, doors open, bars and gates are shattered to pieces. Our eyes are useless when there is utter darkness around us. When God guides, He gives the treasure of darkness and the hidden riches of secret places.

Thanksgiving is one of the great means of securing God’s Guidance. An ungrateful person cannot experience divine direction. It is of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed. There are many things God still wants to do through your life, but without thanksgiving, you limit His Hand in your life. Our praise is purposeful, it’s not just bodily exercise but a spiritual weaponry for appreciating your Maker and provoking His intervention in our affairs. David danced unashamedly before God because He was always mindful of how God took him from the miry clay and set his feet upon a rock (the Palace).

Reasons for Our Thanksgiving

  • To celebrate His past divine direction. God has led us well. Ps. 23:1-3
  • To celebrate His provision and sustenance – Ps. 23:2
  • To celebrate His divine presence in these difficult times. Ps. 23:4-5
  • To celebrate His divine elevation in our lives despite the oppositions. Ps. 23:5
  • To celebrate His continuity in our lives – Ps. 23:6
  • His wrath is not upon us because by His grace we are not children of disobedience.
  • He is a sun and shield over us and has never withheld any good thing from us – Ps. 84:11

Though God’s guidance is supernatural, it is usually quiet – like the “still small voice” to Elijah. God is our “GPS” in life. May you never miss His voice of guidance. Our theme for May is “Divine Direction for Unstoppable Increase” – Isaiah 30:18-21. Achieving great feats in life is not by our power but by His spirit in us.

In closing, we owe God unceasing praise for the countless things He has done in our lives. Psalm 67:5-6 enjoins Us to praise Him so the Earth can yield its increase unto us. Also in Isaiah 48:17 – “Thus saith The Lord, Thy Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel; I am The Lord Thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

God Bless You, Richly!

Happy New Month!
